Wind Point Park is a family owned and operated campground
Located on the shores of Lake Tawakoni, a 36,700 acre reservoir located about an hour East of Dallas.   Our campground is the perfect place to relax, do a little fishing, enjoy nature and gaze at the stars.  

We offer sites for both tent camping and Rving.  No tent?? No problem.  Spend the weekend in one of our rustic camping cabins or newly remodeled shelters.  

Kids 12 and under are ALWAYS free!!  We have a playground, a swimming beach and lots of room for them to play.  
Forget the marshmellows??  Check out our camp store where we sell ice, bait, cold drinks and snacks.  What are you waiting for???

If you have fishing on your mind, we have two boat ramps, a 300’ lighted fishing pier, lots of bank where you can throw in a line, and the BEST fish cleaning shelter on the lake!!!  Big cats are the norm on Lake Tawakoni–also known as the “Catfish Capitol of Texas”.  

Wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful at Wind Point Park!! The park is home to deer, raccoon, opossum, coyote, and armadillo.  Lake Tawakoni is a bird watchers paradise...home to over 130 species of birds.
