The late 80s and 90s generation may be perceived as disillusioned due to the significant societal and technological changes they have experienced. Many individuals from this generation have faced economic challenges, such as the 2008 financial crisis and the rising cost of living. Additionally, they have witnessed rapid advancements in technology and communication, which have altered the way they interact with the world. These factors may contribute to a sense of disillusionment among some individuals from this generation. However, it's important to note that not everyone from this generation feels disillusioned, and many are actively working to create positive change in their communities and the world. **

Disillusioned and disappointed both refer to feelings of dissatisfaction, but they have different connotations. Disillusioned typically refers to a feeling of disappointment and a loss of belief in something that was previously idealized or held in high regard. It often involves a sense of betrayal or realization that something is not as it seemed. On the other hand, disappointed simply means feeling let down or unsatisfied with a particular outcome or situation. While disillusionment involves a deeper sense of loss or betrayal, disappointment is a more general feeling of dissatisfaction. **

There is a growing distrust towards politicians, who are often seen as disconnected from the everyday struggles of the population. Additionally, issues such as corruption scandals, broken promises, and the inability to effectively address pressing societal problems have contributed to this disillusionment. The rise of populist movements and the polarization of political discourse have also fueled feelings of frustration and alienation among the German population. **
